No Gods Work is a digital fashion project created using CLO 3D, with additional work in Blender. It explores a speculative future in which fashion no longer serves or protects the human body but instead becomes an instrument of suffering and punishment.
The project features oversized silhouettes, thick fabrics, garments weighted with rocks, and heavy metal elements that transform clothing into a physical burden.Inspired by the ascetic lives of Orthodox Christian monks on Mount Athos in Greece, the project explores themes of isolation, devotion, and spiritual discipline. Its material language draws from rock, wood, and metal: rock represents the mountainous landscape and physical weight, wood references the carving of religious icons and crosses, and copper evokes sacred objects and religious metalwork.
Through these elements, No Gods Work questions the relationship between the body, clothing, and suffering, imagining a future where fashion becomes a form of punishment rather than comfort.
